Welcome

Welcome to Cotton Arts Boutique.  I am the mother of two sons, the grandmother of two grandgirls.  I have been quilting for 40 years, sewing for 50.  I have a passion for paper dolls.  A passion that I have never outgrown.  With a collection of many vintage sewing and quilting magazines I will post patterns and suggestions on how to use them.  Some will have samples of what I have done.  I feel these patterns will be lost in time, which would be a great loss, especially for the artists who took the loving care to design them. Some of these designs appear on other sites with no acknowledgement of the authors or the publications they came from as well as being scanned directly from the book and virtually unusable. These patterns deserve so much more.

  5. Hi Susan,

I was looking for the Kewpie seven days of the week downloadable embroidery patterns and when I click on the link (Kewpie Doll Days of the Week, McCall’s Needlework and Crafts, September 1988 Collector’s Edition) an error occurs. Is there any way you would be willing to send me the pdfs of the patterns to my email address? I would greatly appreciate it as I love Kewpies and these patterns!!

    Sincerely,
    Jennifer

  6. Hi Jennifer…thanks for the heads up on that link …. I’ve fixed it and you can now download the pdf …. it will be faster than me sending it to you with my dial up :). Here is the link:
